Article Two
Nottingham City Homes
Nottingham City Homes, previously part of Nottingham City Council, and now a limited company, is responsible for over 30,000 tenanted properties in and around the City of Nottingham. John Bloor is a Service Manager within the Technical and Investment Directorate and is responsible for the domestic security, fire alarms, emergency lighting and all electrical works. Geoff Green is a Team Leader for Nottingham City Homes, responsible for the installation of intruder alarms, servicing, repairs, and maintenance.

Article Three
Transforming urban living through security  
Sunderland Housing Group (SHG) is a not for profit organisation that manages tenanted housing of over 36,000 homes, among which are 23 tower blocks - situated across Sunderland City. Originally built in the 60s, the towers had become rundown as a result of on-going vandalism, tenants being harassed and under occupancy. In 2002, challenged with a situation to demolish or refurbish the towers, Sunderland Housing Group’s chief executive Peter Walls took the least likely option and decided that the towers would be regenerated, and assigned considerable investment for the task.
